PRIVACY POLICY
Created: June 17, 2010

Springboard Careers, Inc ("Springboard") is committed to your right to privacy, and as such, we've created this comprehensive policy to protect you with respect to safety and privacy rights. This policy describes the privacy practices we use on our website, www.springboardjobs.com (the "Site"), how information is collected and distributed, and your choices with respect to your personal information. It does not apply to the privacy practices followed on any other website.

Springboard Careers Inc. collects personal information about you and distributes that information to help you connect with employers and other job seekers with similar interests. Springboard Inc. is not affiliated with any advertisers or employers that post on this site. Please review the following privacy policy for more information.

Links to Third Party Sites

We may provide links or references to other websites as a convenience for our clients and other site visitors. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites or the owners of those sites. We do not own or control those sites or their privacy practices, which may be different from our own, so please use appropriate caution on these other sites. Our privacy policy does not cover any personal information that you provide to any third-party site, so please review the privacy policies of any web site that collects personal information about you.

The Information We Collect

We only collect personally identifiable information about you if you register as a Springboard client so that you can take advantage of the services and products on our Site. If you are just visiting the Site to view information and services we make available, or if you only conduct a public search on the Site, we will not collect or retain any personal information about you. We will, however, collect anonymous demographic and aggregate site analytical data for the purpose of improving our web site.

Springboard Registration

If you choose to register as a Springboard client, we will ask you to provide your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. We will store this information in your profile on the Site (your "Springboard Profile"). Your email address will serve as your Springboard username, and you may select your own password. Springboard staff does not have the ability to retrieve your password at any time, although you will have necessary access to reset your password using a security question that you choose during registration.

If you choose to create a Springboard Profile, you may add information about yourself as a potential employment candidate. This information may include your educational background, your previous work experiences, any certifications or accreditations you have received, and your work preferences (e.g., work schedule, industry preference, etc.). The information you provide for the employment sections of your Springboard Profile is voluntary. You will have the option to hide all of the information you enter in your Springboard Profile from potential employers. If you elect to hide your Springboard Profile from employers, you will still be able to search for jobs, see potential employer information, and use the other Content on the Site that is available exclusively for our clients.

Choice/Opt-out

As a Springboard client, you will receive occasional newsletters, promotional materials, and event invitations. Our business partners and service providers may also send materials to our registered clients. If, at any time, you no longer wish to receive these communications, you may opt-out by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication, or by emailing us at info@springboardjobs.com. Finally, you can opt-out of receiving certain communications by contacting us using the information in the "How to Contact Us" section below. In any case, you understand and agree that, even if you elect not to receive marketing materials from us or our business partners, we may use the information you provide us upon registration to send you administrative notices regarding your account or other important notices about our services, as indicated in the paragraphs above.

Log Files and Cookies

Like most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this anonymous, aggregate information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Site, to track users' movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to any personally identifiable information. We use this information for the sole purpose of analyzing usage trends so that we can improve the Site and our offerings.
We use cookies on the Site.  A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site, except as noted in this paragraph. There are two distinct types of cookies: session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  Session ID cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain stored on your computer for an extended period of time.  We use session ID cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. We DO NOT use persistent cookies.

How We Use the Information We Collect

If you register with us, we will use the contact information you provide us to send you a welcome message that confirms your registration. We will also use your information to send you notices regarding your subscription (such as renewal notices); service-related announcements (such as notices of service outages, security issues, system or functionality updates, expanded features or functions of the Site, or new jobs or employers we have added in your area); or changes to this privacy policy or the Terms of Use for our Site. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you will have the option to cancel your account in accordance with the Site's Terms of Use.

Sharing Personal Information

We will not sell, rent, lend or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party except as expressly set forth in this section. We may provide your personal information to third parties who assist us in completing the services we provide to you, such as our credit card processor, the companies that hosts and supports our website, and the companies that deliver any services that you may order from us. Finally, we may disclose information about you if we have a good faith belief that we are required to do so by law, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Springboard or others. You will not have the ability to opt-out of disclosures to such third parties.

Occasionally, we may provide your personal information to our employer customers, advertisers or other business partners to allow them to offer special promotions exclusively to our registered clients. In such cases, we'll provide nothing other than basic contact information. Out of respect for your privacy, we give you the option to request that we not share your information with our business partners, so that you do not receive the promotions or other marketing-related communications our business partners may offer, as outlined in the "Choice/Opt-out" section above.

Your Access to the Information We Collect

If you register with us either as a Springboard client, you will always be able to access your personal information by logging into your account on the Site. After logging in, you can see all of the personal information we have about you by clicking on the "My Profile" tab and selecting the various sub-categories on the left. You can also update, edit, or delete any information in your Springboard Profile, as needed.

How We Protect the Information We Collect

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. As a result, although we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

When you enter sensitive information during our registration process, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Our systems are tested regularly to ensure compliance with the latest standards set by the Payment Card Industry, and our databases are protected using a double layer of firewalls.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. If we make changes to this policy, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes. Also, if any of those changes reflect a material change in how we use personal information we collected from you before the changes take effect, we will give you a chance to decide whether or not those changes will apply to you.
